TweetUnderstood but the past two republican nominees were nothing close to a conservative.they were center left at best and stood for nothing
TweetIt's not my opinion that social conservatives are in the minority, it's a fact. And, I can't answer why rush got so much shit, I'm just pointing out that he did a great job at helping republicans lose the election because they looked like they were against women's reproductive rights.
I'm not even arguing one way or the other, I'm just pointing out the facts, and the facts are that if republicans don't change their social views, they will continue to lose big time. This view is shared by conservatives too, not just me. As soon as the election was over, republicans started changing their tune on immigration because they know better.

Tweetdo you mean not conservative on fiscal policies?
A libertarian who is fiscally conservative but socially liberal or socially libertarian is the way to go IMO. A religious fanatic who is far right on social issues just won't get elected in this era. Obama should've lost the election, but Romney being filthy rich, mormon, anti gay marriage had no way of relating to normal folks who make up the electorate. McCain lost because of Bush.
