Hey everyone it's that time to buy a new vehicle. I've never spent over $5500 before Bc I'm cheap or smart or something lol. it's time to treat myself to something nice. I don't want to spend a shitload but am thinking of going brand new just because they are so cheap right now used just doesn't seem worth it. Import would be nice but a lot more expensive so I'm thinking chev. Dodge or ford truck.
Any thoughts or experiences greatly appreciated. They are advertising dodge Half ton for $25,000 fairly loaded but I assume cloth interior. Halcyon is all I would need but a diesel would be nice. Cummins is free right now
      Thanks

Well, I have always been a Chevy man when it comes to vehicles. BUT....from everything I have seen and heard since about 07, their quality has been going downhill. If I were to go out and buy a new truck right now, it would be a Ford. Their quality is good. They look much better than they used to. And they didn't take a government handout (okay that one may just be my personal beef). It seems like I see more and more Fords out there now.

My step dad gets addicted to researching something when he is about to buy a vehicle (or anything for that matter). He will read up and study for months in advance. He chose Ford and said that it wasn't even close between them and Chevy. I don't know much about Dodge so I can't speak to them

Go with an f150 and don't get a diesel because it would be nice. The upkeep is a lot more than most bargain for and not kept proper are a headache. The ecoboost f150 is what I would personally choose. Great power and economy all in one.

I did it and its nice but still in shock lol it's a lot of money for a truck. I bought a 2012 F-150 Lariet Quad Cab, I also got the maintenance package and all the extended warranty which I thought I would never do but to have bumper to bumper and all maintenance paid for 7 years for $6000 total it just made sense and I'm pretty sure I got a wicked deal on the truck but could have maybe weaseled them a lil more lmao.

Second guessing the extended warranty and maintenance package. Arg. If my tranny blows in five years it will pay off but unlikely to happen and I'm a mechanic lmao. Thinking if canceling. Whatcha think of them?

I got the 5 liter sounds a lot better than the ecoboost and fuel economy is pretty close and its 2012 so got a better deal then 2013 Eco. Ya ill prob keep the warranty just because it will save the hassle and its not that much and the maintenance package is cheap for 7 years maintenance and it seems they can **** ya on warranty if u don't have it on a hoist for inspection and rotate tires every oil change. Besides then I can build a car. Lol
