Tweetthat's where i went was ft benning for infantry/OSUT then parachute school then RIP (ranger indoctrination program)...i hated infantry...i was only 135lbs back then and running/ruck marching all the damn time yet had to carry the same weight of equipment in my rucksack as everyone else...so basically i had to work alot harder pound for pound than everyone else...but i sure did miss it all shortly after i got out...mostly the comeraderie...

Tweetman, good on him for serving his country but i sure wish he would choose something better as far as mos goes. it is so much better to get training and experience in a field that you can use once you get out. take it from me. i did infantry and almost every sub mos under the infantry over my career. loved every minute of it for the most part but if i could offer anyone the advice joining i would say do something with computers or communication.
my advice for anyone thinking of joining the marine corps is: if you want to do the most with the least then join the marines. if you want to live nice and get all the training and then some join the other branches of service. that is a very sad and true fact

i also feel for him doing boot camp in that heat lol
