TweetHe is getting his macros for sure (and lots of gear) to build muscle. But no fiber, vitamins, micro nutrients ect. I mean he can supplement but nothing beats real food and real nutrients.
TweetDid any of you see Hunter's youtube video the other day about his diet? I couldn't believe what I was watching. The guy literally eats 90% of his food blended up and none of it is healthy. I mean, I get that he's off-season and bulking up, but he was mixing up rice crispy cereal and protein powders for like 2 or 3 of his meals. He said he goes through a whole family size box of rice crispy cereal every other day. He even blends up his chicken in water and drinks it. The only real sold food he ate was Mexican food at a local restaurant where he had enchiladas. His breakfast was protein bars and a scoop of why protein blended up.
Just goes to show his genetics I guess. There's no way I could ever maintain any type of physique eating rice crispy cereal blended up with a protein shake for almost every meal.

TweetI think for me it was just a shock to see that a top 5 Mr. Olympia competitor eats like that. I mean all the power to him if he can get away with it, but that can't be great for your overall health. With all the problems we've been hearing of bodybuilders and their health, you'd think he'd at least take some vitamins. Hopefully he does.
Tweetthe rice krispy cereal isnt that bad at all if you look at the nutrition profile on it. i personally like to eat my food and i can put a ton of it away day in and day out but a lot of people cant do that at all. that to me is the hardest thing for guys chasing size is consuming the amounts of food needed to do so. blending it up would be a whole lot easier but imo kind of gross. i have had to resort to food processing down my steak when i was eating it at 6lbs a day. not because i couldnt eat it but my jaws hurt so bad from chewing it.
something that i did find with using the food processor to grind my protein down really fine is that it processes through your system much smoother and faster. great tip for those that have issues with getting their food in and getting it moving through their system fast enough to eat again in 2 hours or so.
a good trick i used was to food process up my steak into a find ground meat(much finer than ground beeef), toss it into a green salad with chopped up red potatoes or rice. then add whatever sauce i wanted at the time and slam it down. i could eat that meal which is about 2lbs of food in under 5 mins no problem and be ready to eat again in 2 hours. you can do the same thing with chicken or pork if thats what you eat. i got all kinds of little tricks i use and have used int he past to put down massive amounts of food that is actually clean
