Not sure where to post this so I will try here.
I had a procedure done and had to clean my colon out so they could look around.
I fasted more than a day and also drank magnesium citrate. It cleaned me out.
Usually after eating I get exhausted and fall asleep watching tv or listening to radio.
This morning no meal and was wide awake. I am still energized and not hungry even
after not eating more than a day. WHY?

most likely you have some insulin resistance and are backed up. need to get your fasted glucose checked and checking it about 2 hours after a meal would be ideal to see where you are. i am not a doc by any means but what you just described are tell tell signs of this issue. could even be pre diabetic. get you a fiber supplement that is sugar free and use it at night and first thing in the am would be a great start. that along with good fiberous green veges with all your meals will pay off big time in the end.

It really wasn't that bad until the very end. I kept well hydrated. I lost about 6 kilo. Most water and fecal material I think.

Insulin. Guns is right. If you eat a big meal on Thanksgiving day, it is not the tryptophan in the turkey that makes you sleepy. It is the consumption of high calorie high carb meal that causes your body to dump insulin.

Anyone who has done slin knows that you hit that shot PWO and all of the sudden feel a little slower and ready to EAT then want to take a nap.

If you want max alertness have you done keto diet?

1st you are not hungry, second you do not get insulin spikes that cause brain fog and sleepiness. This is one prob. Obviously getting rid of waste is big. I did the same not long ago for a colonoscopy.

have to get one done every 5 years myself and getting close again. i had some polups last time they did it so i am high risk. shit sucks ass since i am nowhere near 50 and they so have no clue what my gut issues are or where my chest pain is originating from.

the prep for the procedure is brutal and i dont ever get backed up. so my process is only 24 hours with just the solution and that's it for me since i shit like a goose anyway haha

Try the grape magnesium citrate at walmart. It is good flavor but slightly tart.

I most likely over eat at each meal and the wrong stuff. I will eat less calories and better food and see if that helps.

      You guys are great
