i think a lot of people over look active recovery for recovery. that's a mouthful haha. i dont know that i agree so much with thc/cbd. i know they are pain relievers but the downside to that is it really isnt recovery so to speak. good read though

After leg day I always walk the dog a mile or so. If I do not my legs will be 30-40% more sore. I have also found going kayaking after working back makes kayaking harder but I just do not get debilitating soreness. Active recovery is for real.

Here I’m going to share my experience about recovery after a workout. With these strategies, you can reduce post-workout pain.

It is critical to allow enough time to rest after exercise, even if it is a short workout. I've been using these methods to recover, and they really help me and get me ready for the next session.

      Try a foam roller

      Quicker muscle recovery
      Reduction of soreness
It provides me relief from muscle tension and can improve range of motion and flexibility

      Reach for the ice

I used to take an ice bath soon after an exercise and it really minimized muscle discomfort, inflammation, and exhaustion.

      Go for protein

High protein snack within 30 minutes after your workout will definitely helps you repair muscle damage

      Hydrate

I used to drink 8 ounces of water within 30 minutes after the exercise

      Take time to sleep

It’s important to get 7 to 9 hours of good sleep the night after a hard workout

The above guidelines are very critical when it comes to muscle recovery and I’ve learned it from the gym called Iron Orr Fitness with a well versed personal trainer. So you can follow these strategies without any worries or doubts.

After a challenging workout your muscles are sore and that makes it hard to move. But there are ways to ease the pain from a good workout like:
      Drink a lot of water
      Get enough sleep
      Eat nutritious food
To get rid of muscle soreness massage is also a good idea.
