I have switched to soy protein isolate from whey protein isolate. The reason I did this is to reduce creatinine levels. My kidneys are ok but I want to keep them happy as long as I can so the switch to soy.

OK here is the beef between the 2 protein. Soy protein does not lend itself well to make muscles swell. WHY? Well animal protein when broken down releases creating which we all know hydrates the muscle and makes it bigger but not necessary stronger. Soy digest easier making the amino acids available sooner than animal source. You can get stronger with both sources but the animal source makes the muscle appear better. Soy protein does NOT increase E2 levels at all. I do not take an E2 blocker and levels are exactly the same with both proteins.

I made my choice for my kidneys (which are low normal in function) to make them happy. If I competed I would make a different choice. I am OK with getting stronger and size will increase when it is ready. I am not after the "swole" look but if it happens it happens, I just want to be strong and look good and be healthy
