TweetI'll need to go back and research it a bit, but always heard that soy protein wasn't the best when it comes to estrogen management. From what I remember, soy contains isoflavones which are phytoestrogens. Basically plant estrogens. Supposedly consuming a lot of it could potentially raise the estrogen levels in guys.
TweetI have heard it both ways.
Supposedly it digest easier and faster but has a lower PER. I don't know
Tweeti personally wouldnt touch the stuff. go with a pea or other vege source over soy. i have never heard anything good about soy. hell if you want an easy to digest protein you could opt for egg whit or egg white protein powder

TweetSoy isolate is OK from what I remember, it has the phyto estrogens removed and isjust protein although it lacks sufficient amounts of some aminos, again if I remember correctly.
Why plant based? Whey is the gold standard of protein for a reason.
pea protein and hemp protein are supposed to be good but you have to take a lot more of it to get the same benefits as whey.
If I did a plant based protein I would look for one that is blended with many kinds of proteins to fill in holes as I do not know of one that is 100% complete like whey or egg.
TweetMy GFR (kidney function is 77. My Dr says it is normal but I think it low. I will try plant base protein to see if it comes up.
