I agree! I converted a few to artisan soaps and shaving soaps actually, but some just don't get it or care is all.
Everybody does respond to different scents, and I would add that people perceive scents differently too. For example, there is a scented shaving soap that most people smell and immediately think of campfires. However, every time I smell that same scent I think of the ham building my grandfather had for the hickory smoked ham business he had. I let my brother smell it without saying a word to him and he experienced the ham room of our grandfather's too. The power of scent to trigger memories is an amazing experience.
epsom salts do not have great absorption as a salt molecule but they do have great benefits such as increasing blood magnesium levels. mag helps muscle relax after hard training. but again it is modest. One does not want high concentrations of salt in the blood. epsom salts REALLY help after brutal workouts. as for essential oils I think they smell good in most cases, that is all other than maybe psychological benefits of the pleasant odor.
