      I've been so bad over the holidays, and it just kept going after. Just eating way too many sweets. Gained a bit around the gut, so I'm doing the Adkins for a few weeks. I've done lower carb days, but never long term.
      I started Monday. I've been eating eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, hamburgers, gallons of almond milk with my low carb protein shakes. I've been just shoveling this stuff in till I'm full. Since Monday, I'm already down 3 pounds!
      My goal is of course not to do this forever, just to end up eating more normal than all the sweets like before.

      Has anyone else done Adkins or low carb for 2-4 weeks or longer? And if so, how did it go for you?

      Last week I started back on a no gluten dairy free eating. I am logging all my food, and noticed this has also dropped the amount of carbs I was taking in. I am not doing this to lose weight, but to help my body inflammation as dairy and gluten inflame the crap out of me. I can tell the swelling/fluid in my body has gone down thus loss of weight. There is something to be said for low carbing it but I believe carbs are still essential to our health, just focusing on more complex carbs and using the simple ones if and when needed. Keep doing what your doing Skeletor.

      I also read once that for every gram of carb you take in , the body holds 2 grams of water. I did not research this but who knows? I think we have all heard that initial weight loss is water, but my answer to that is GREAT! I mean who the hell wants to carry extra water around and feel like a bloated cow? Not me!

      I'm usually a bit more cut because I do a lot of cross training, but with all the sweets I was taking in, I lost my definition in my stomach. I'm by no means over weight...I just want my cuts back lol

      sweets are my downfall, especially because I love to bake and that shit goes right to the belly

      That should work for you to drop a couple inches off the waist.
      Im going to double up on my cardio for a couple weeks cuz the abs arent coming in fast enough
