TweetI don't have high blood pressure but I was really wondering about answers to this question.
For general heart health I take Co Q10 and fish oils.
I also take a baby Asprin

fish oil
hawthorne berry (fresh juice is best)
red rice yeast
aminis cordis
now i got some write ups from tgb on folderon 2.0 that looks very very interesting and promising also. i will give it a try in the offseason when my weight goes up a bit

TweetI take benazopril. It is prescription only but works great.
Tweetdoc always threatens me with meds and i always get mine back under control without them. i can keep mine in normal range at 280-286lbs. if i get above that it's no dice and stays stupid high. i think keeping some cardio in which i hate to do, makes all the difference in the world though. that and it keeps my weight from getting above what my body wants

TweetI'm on two beta blockers and one pulse relaxer bp runs in my family
TweetYep same for me too. I also have to keep cardio in the mix. If I don't keep an eye on it, mine will sneak up there.
TweetUnfortunately I'm in 20mg lisinopril but I can forget days and be fine so not sure I really need it.
I control it by keeping my weight below 230. Hawthorn berry, fish oil, cardio for sure....keeping beer to a minimum.

TweetI take a beta blocker for tremors but it also controls my bp because I do run a little high if anyone does run high take the meds bp is nothing to mess around with
TweetIve taken Hawthorne and fish oil. Will check out those other 2.
I dont have any HBP but I take a load of sup0plements and not sure which of them is keeping my bp good. Im guessing these are contributing: garlic, pomegranate, tart cherry. I eat handfuls of raw green leaves of various kinds
TweetSodium reduction in diet, limited to no caffeine, a balanced diet, more cardio, and lots of water. Unfortunately I enjoy salt...
Tweetcardio really helps. I think a lot of us are so focused on weighs we forget keeping the heart in shape
TweetYep, I've been guilty of that from time to time over the years. As I get older, it's something I start thinking about more and more. It's funny how when you're younger you think "I'll worry about that when I'm older." Then when you're older you're thinking back to when you were younger and all you can do is just shake you're head lol.
TweetI am not quite 50 but I wish I had started cardio earlier and not abused my body so much
