Anyone else deal with snoring? I snore and even wake myself up snoring sometimes. What makes it even worse is my gf snores too, so it sounds like a symphony of chainsaws cutting down a forest in my house every night. If I fall asleep first she can't sleep and if she falls asleep first I can't sleep.

I've tried breath right strips and they didn't work. If I sleep at an incline I don't snore, but I can't seem to stay in that position all night. Any ideas, tips, or tricks to combat snoring? Whoever falls asleep second has a pretty rough night in my house lol.

I tend to snore when i lay on my back so I try not to do that very often. I think it relates to the position of your jaw, if it can move slightly forward it makes the airway a little larger and will help with snoring. There is a "mouth guard" style thing they sell that makes your jaw move to a different position.

I have seen the mouth pieces they have for snoring and have thought about trying that but I am not sure if they really work well.
Taking something that slows down your respiratory system i think will make it worse. Maybe in your case you dont snore to begin with, but whenever ive taken prescription sleeping pills or another form of sedative my snoring is insane..

Thanks for all the replies!! I've been thinking about getting a sleep study done to see if it could be sleep apnea. I do wake myself up sometimes, so that's definitely been a concern. I notice it's worse (at least she says it's worse) when I'm exhausted or more tired than usual.

I sleep on the couch a lot so we can both sleep through the night, but it's just so uncomfortable. Next step I guess is the sleep study. Until then I'll be on the couch lol.

Funny things is back when GHB was being touted as the greatest "all Natural" sleep aid ever invented, I would take that stuff to get the most deep sleep ever, got lean as hell, but from what I heard, my snoring was off the charts. Was at this camp one time, sleeping in the basement of this coaches house. When we were having breakfast, everyone was laughing at me for being the loudest snorer they had ever heard. They were all upstairs, I was downstairs and they said they could hear me snoring. lol I think my snoring pretty much decreased in decibels after I stopped the GHB. That was 18 years ago. Damn
