Tweetthat is the truth baby
TweetGood just want to make sure. Why professional bodybuilders eat white rice. To burn carbs?
TweetNot sure but white rice is a "refined carb" there fore has a fast insulin response (fast sugars). It is probably beneficial at certain times of the day around training .

TweetBecause their diet is already very strict and brown rice taste bad compared to white rice. IMO

TweetAh ok make sense
TweetThats great to know! Thanks guys!
Tweeti am going to have to dig for the actual article on this one but i read it and was told this also. marginal non impactable insulin response from either brown or white rice. the brown rice carries one extra gram of fiber and that's basically about the only difference. if you ask a professional why he or she eats white rice as opposed to brown rice or basmatti or whatever they will 99% of the time tell you it is because it tastes better. i am pretty tight with one close by that told me if he has to eat rice when his coach tells him he will only do jasmine cause the others taste like ass. funny cause the flavor is pretty much the same except for a little hint of difference to me

TweetTI think brown rice is def more nutritional and slower acting but there are different kinds of brown rice. Now if we are talking Uncle bnes white or brown rice, not much difference at all. I like the taste of white rice much better especially Chipotles white rice which I do believe is the jasmin rice

Tweetthat's what i thought as well baby1 but i was told it really is a minimal difference and i read it somewhere also. i am going to have to go through the archives and find the carb comparrison and breakdown again. i dont do white or brown now so it has no impact on me but seeing some of the guys that do eat white was an eye opener

TweetI read some stuff that said the same thing about no real difference. What is The rice you eat like? is it smaller?
Veritas Vos Liberabit
Tweetthe basmatti and jasmine both are long cooking rice and about the same size as white or brown. the jasmine i believe has a little less carbs per serv or vice versa off the top of my head. they both have a little different smell and taste to them. it is very very mild flavor but you can tell

TweetYup I was on south beach diet years back and on Phase II I was allowed to have brown but not white rice.... when I actually compared the nutritional info... not much difference.... couldn't get a good answer why.
TweetI jumped on the basmatti rice after seeing it in guns log.
All I eat now.
