TweetNever figured out how to do that bro I hope someone has a answer for ya. Now when I cook my ground beef I mix the rice in with it and somehow it stays soft when mixes even after three days
TweetOk guys, i have a nice rice cooker that i use all the time and i usually make rice for about four days worth, but every freakin time i do this and i keep it in the fridge it gets hard as a freakin rock!
When i take my portion out ill add some water to it and microwave it so it gets a little softer but still not very appetizing though. Any tips on how to prevent it from getting so hard? In the past i would but the uncle bens individual packets but their like $1.30 a pack and eating ten a week isnt cheap..

TweetHey thats a good idea, mix the meat in with the rice. Good tip there!
TweetMixing the rice in just makes life a little easier one bowel per meal all mixed up and ready to go
TweetI cook the rice and pre portion it into individual containers with the meat and veggies before refrigeration . seems to work well. I got buddies who cook rice and just leave it in the cooker on the table with out problems.. I've eaten it and tasted fine but I kinda like the fridge
TweetAdd soy sauce before and after you microwave it.
Tweetpackage it while still warm in individual packs. i use ziplock baggies and squeeze all the air out. its not perfect but better than a big tupperware container
TweetBrown rice is healthier than white. It contains more fiber, nutrients though more pricey.
Tweetand I like the taste and texture better
