Ok guys, i have a nice rice cooker that i use all the time and i usually make rice for about four days worth, but every freakin time i do this and i keep it in the fridge it gets hard as a freakin rock!

When i take my portion out ill add some water to it and microwave it so it gets a little softer but still not very appetizing though. Any tips on how to prevent it from getting so hard? In the past i would but the uncle bens individual packets but their like $1.30 a pack and eating ten a week isnt cheap..

I cook the rice and pre portion it into individual containers with the meat and veggies before refrigeration . seems to work well. I got buddies who cook rice and just leave it in the cooker on the table with out problems.. I've eaten it and tasted fine but I kinda like the fridge

package it while still warm in individual packs. i use ziplock baggies and squeeze all the air out. its not perfect but better than a big tupperware container

Brown rice is healthier than white. It contains more fiber, nutrients though more pricey.
