my doc told me this is bs junk science and has been disproved a very long time ago. if you suffer from kidney disease or kidney issues you dont want to overload on protein but saying it contributes to kidney damage is ignorant. my wife's step father is on dialisis(sp) and the dude weighs like 270 and they tell him he needs a minimum of 270-300g of pro a day to maintain his bmi. so something isnt jiving is these people's studies
When I had part of my kidney removed, 5 years ago, I asked the Urologist the same thing about protein. He said "nothing" has been proven in regards to that and I should not be concerned about it
