I suck! I am disappointed in myself for doing this honestly. Out of the 7 days in a week, I am only fully committed to my meals 5 of those days, which are Monday though Friday. Once the weekend comes, in my mind I'm almost talking myself out of waking up early. Telling myself, "I'll just eat both meals at the next meal time..." Nope, shit don't work that way!
The weekends should be a breeze for me. The wife doesn't work, and I have help with our 3 kids all day and night. So I don't know why I am doing this to myself. Yes I am tired, 3 kids all day from the time they wake till the time I read them a bed time story, is very busy. Then hit the gym after all that is very hard, mentally some times. Some people might not understand, but being a stay at home father isn't all cracked up what other's make it out to be lol!
I fully understand that this sport we choose to endure though day after day, and beat ourselves up over is a life style, but I need some help or motivation. I really want to make the best of this life opportunity I have, because I know I won't be a stay at home dad forever.
Any tips of motivational post to get me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I really want to take my nutrition, training, and body to the best it can be.

TweetMy trick is to stay busy. My problem times are at night or weekends when I have nothing to do. Bored enough and I'll start looking for "off-diet" foods. I don't keep them in the house so I'll actually go out and get something... or order pizza.
Even Call Of Duty gets boring after a while... lol
TweetYes but it's hard everyone I work with eats like shit. And my job is really Boring sometimes so that does not help but I'm working on gaining willpower/control lol.
A new career would help but they pay me so well and I'm just not there yet.

TweetHit a PL session with me on the weekend. You will be so damn sore and unable to move that you will stay on the couch all weekend.
TweetMy wife would punch me in the face if I sat on the couch all day ha ha! And no I will not do a PL session with you! I see what you guys do up there, you ain't tricking me into suicide brother!
But I eat clean. I don't have any junks in the house. Kids don't even know what soda is and my son will be 6. I haven't had a soda since I was 14 years old, and I'm 30 now. I don't eat candy, I even quit my favorite cereal cinnamon toast crunch so I wouldn't have it calling me late at night ha ha.
My stuggle is keeping on my meal schedule. I have whatever I need in my fridge or freezer, and I can make an 8oz serving of meat of fish in less then 10 minutes from being frozen. I always have rice in the pot too. I just don't know why I turn off on the weekends regarding food. Beat down from the weeks training, or just a lazy swith flipped in my head? I will try to make a real conciousous effort this weekend though.
TweetDon't beat yourself up about what you did, as it has already been done. Just get back on track, and honestly, if you do well for 5 days, it wont kill you on the weekends. You have different priorities now and you are not competing so enjoy life and dont be so hard on yourself.

Tweeti say unless you are trying to get ready for a show then force yourself to hit at least 6 days. then if you want to sleep in a little on sunday and miss a meal or two that's no big deal. i also say that if you are in the off season and you want something bad once or twice a week then do it. it isnt going to hurt you to have those extra calories once or twice a week

TweetI have the same issue on weekends though. For me working your standard 8-5 m-f gives me structure. What I take with me is what I get. No fast food joints in walking distance. When I get home for the weekend I don't have that structure. It turns into family mode mainly because I steal so much time from them during the week.
Work on it one meal at a time when the weekend comes around. Enjoy a cheat meal.
TweetBaby could not have said this any better. If you are doing so well 5 days a week. You can get away with 60 or 70% there on the weekends. I think you are really putting way too much pressure on yourself. So, you skip the first meal. What the big deal? Thats what 400 calories or whatever. In the coarse of the week it will not make much difference. Just try to get a mini meal in every 3 hrs once you are up.
Best of luck,
GC
TweetThis is how my weekends are...I always have good intentions and when we go out to eat, I try to get the better meal but sometimes it doesn't work out that way, especially if things like pasta and pizza are involved. I always try to eat 1 piece of pizza...without the pepperoni on it...too spicy lol thanks for posting this Ezskanken!!!
