In april I had a cardiac arrest.
I have been on gear for decades.......
Obviously I cannot continue to use (except for my trt).
I have not been in the gym for 3 months and I wont be able to train again until hopefully the 5th of july. I have a treadmill stress test schedualed.
I was 225ish 7% or less bf. Common cycles were 1500-2000 test plus 1000-1500 assorted other aas and ancillaries.

So.....Im only eating 2 real meals a day now and I weigh about 190.

I have a theory that bodybuilding is mainly food driven. Meaning food is the #1 most important component.
I also believe that I can get to or close to where I was before without the drugs since I now already have the muscle tissue.

      WHat do you guys think?
is it possible to get to where I was before clean?

If I go to 6 meals a day from 2 and a snack.....Ill def grow.

my bad on the "time frame" comment. i was just thinking in terms of stress tests in relation to cariac arrests. usually they are done in a time frame that wouldn't allow for a 35 lb lean mass gain. 35 lean is a lot to gain in 12 (on or off). either way, good luck and keep us posted!

Perhaps I didnt clearly state my position.
Im currently awaiting a stress test that will clear me for training. There is no time frame except I have to wait another 6 days to begin training.
After which I have the rest of my life.

My question is can I get into the same shape I was in but with no gears.

Brundel, glad to have you on board. Any chance your doctor has any insight on this?

I dont think she will weigh in on my ability to regain my former glory.
She can, however, tell me how likely it is Ill die in the process. Im pretty sure it was the gear and thyroid meds than caused it.
Since they will only be present in low amounts I think the chance Ill have another episode is slim and I have a defibrillator in my chest now just incase.

Im thinking it all hinges on if I can eat enough and be dedicated enough....and sacrifice enough and work hard enough.
I think I can do it. Im gonna do it.....we will see what happens.

Im gonna run a log of my progress as well.
      Giant food cycle

Itll show people how important diet really is.

Here is how I see it.....It I do it and it kills me....its better than if I regret not doing it and die old and full of regret.
Im a warrior. I have to do it.

I wont be using any drugs not prescribed by a dr.
I do think that with food and training alone I can get at least back to the same size and under 10%

First off, if it were me I would want to know what the doctors feel is a healthy weight to maintain and how much heavy lifting would be safe, but that's just me. As for muscle memory and the ability to gain back your weight I think it is very possible and highly likely if you train and eat properly. As for your strength, that would be very impressive if you could get back to where you were on 2g of T a week.

I have had to battle with gaining back my strength and size twice in my life due to two back surgeries for slipping the same disc (L3-L4) twice. I have very good muscle memory when natural and when on. I can't get the strength back due to my back since I have to be very careful and not go very heavy on many exercises, however I still have good definition and size depending on my diet and routine. I now look at it like a friend of mine always has; he said he would rather look like he can bench 400 lbs than actually be able to do it. As long as I can maintain good vascularity and measurements I'm content. I had to accept the fact that I probably won't ever be able to lift as much weight as I did before my second back surgery. If I slip the same disc again I will have to get my vertebra fused, thus I'm playing it safe.

I respect your motivation and goal to get back in the shape you once were, and I wish you well in your journey. I believe in the power of the mind and have a quote from Napoleon Hill that may give you some more inspiration: "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve."

Thanks bro. Really the goal of this thread is to motivate me.
5 more days until Im potentially cleared for training. This is what I needed to hear. I was freakishly strong and I doubt Ill retain the same strength but If I can get to roughly the same size and be under 10% Ill be satisfied. I have to go to the Olympia this year and I dont want to be fuking 190lbs.
Im NOT going on vacations right now because Im not comfortable being this small.
All my clothes drape off me......its depressing.

I have seen guys who didnt use gear gain like 20lbs in a few months with food and training. Of course they were big before and the muscle cells were there and just needed feeding and training.

You can get back up there brother.. it's just going to take a lot more focus and dedication than it did when juicing. Just watch how fast you put that muscle back on.. too much too fast is going to stress even a healthy heart.
