TweetMy understanding is that in Arnold's era, low dose oral cycles were prescribed by doctors. They did not use the mega-doses we see some people talking about today.

TweetBy the way, that pic is just awesome. At 19 he was still in Austria (or just arrived from there), and AAS-free - and his physique was already incredible. Its all about genetics - even after all the anabolics, the best BBers always have the best genetics first. Awesome.
TweetThat's what happens when you start taking aas at the age of 9. LOLOriginally Posted by O2BESOHUGE
TweetGenetics! I have a buddy with arms like that and the dude hardly even trains. I know for a fact he's never used aas either. He has great arm, chest and back genes and his legs are very small. He missed about 7-8 months of training because of work and his arms, chest and back didn't lose much at all. We used to train together for about a year. We did all the same things and his upper body just swelled up like there was no tomorrow and his lower body hardly changed at all. He's the exact opposite of me. I took off 11 months to heal an injury once and my legs didn't lose hardly anything but my upper body went to total crap. Even my leg strength when I came back was just shy of where I was but my upper body lifts dropped in half. People ask me all the time 'what do you do for calves? what do you do for quads?' And when I tell them one set of this or one set of that they just look at me like I'm crazy. But, the truth is, I could train legs once every two weeks and they would still grow and get stronger.Originally Posted by DJDIGGLER
TweetLike Phreak said, Arnold started aas much younger than that. His books admits everything. I think he was 15 when he started for the first time. Then, like Phreak said, he was training with a doc at 16 and the doc was giving him his aas. It's all in the book.Originally Posted by Testify
