      Paused squat 145 x 2 x 5 (+10 with good technique, got more)
      Leg press 408 x 1 x 20 (+20)

      It was another good day....man it stays burning up in our gym! My shirt is absolutely soaked when I get done lifting! Anyway, I am working my way back up on the paused squats. I had gotten to 175 but Ex pointed out (and I saw it as soon as I video'd the lift) that I wasn't even getting to parallel. So, I dropped back to 135 and worked on technique (got the new technique cleared by Ex). Now I am getting "deep" and starting the squat by sitting back with my butt instead of breaking the knees and stuff first. But I went up 10 from last week with good technique and I don't see any reason why I can't go up 10 more next week, we will see. The reps today weren't that tough. My leg press has finally hit a weight that I can work with for a week or two ( actually all of my lifts are pretty much at this point). I got all of the reps today but it was tough, so I will hit that weight again next week and the next until it gets easy. All of my accessory lifts went up at least 5lbs. It was a very good day!! Man, I wish my bench would go up like this!

      Well, the weather here was raining and storming today. Add that to the fact that I was already tired and it made for a really sluggish day. I thought it would really hurt me in the gym but it turned out pretty good.

      Sumo deads 255 x 2 x 5
      Dimel deads 185 x 2 x 10

      These were the same weights as last week, but they felt better. As a matter of fact, all of my weights were the same this week. I think I have finally hit my work range here. I still have more in me, but I am getting some tough work with good form right here. So, my weights will be increasing more slowly now. I don't want to get too ahead of myself and get that "weight ego" going.

      Man I have gotten to where I sweat my butt off with my workouts!! It's as bad as when I do spin class for my cardio. Everyone else is standing around and their shirts are all dry and what not....then here I am, shirt drenched with sweat and having to get water every 5 minutes. Maybe that means I am working harder or my metabolism is sky high. I'm sure it's not a bad thing.

      Honestly, I haven't weighed in a week or so because the batteries are dead in my scale..HAHA! I am curious though because, unfortunately, I feel like I have gained some fat. It may just be water weight, so I don't know yet. I am going to get some batteries tomorrow so I can weigh Friday morning. I will post up what I am Friday. Even though I feel like that, I can tell that I am gaining muscle though. My wife actually said this morning, "Your shoulders are getting big!" So, hopefully, any extra weight will be muscle....but that may be wishful thinking.

      Db Flat bench 45 x 19, 45 x 1

      I had another good workout today. I can really feel myself getting stonger. The weight may not be going up on some of the lifts, but the reps are getting easier. So, it just a matter of time before they start going up as well. I almost got all 20 reps on my Db flat bench but missed it by one. I got the last one in a 1 rep set (LOL) though, just to make sure I got 20. Last week I only got to 13, I think. So I go another 6 reps this time.

      My guillotine presses went up. I will be glad when my left tri gets stronger. My left arm shakes like crazy when I am benching and it makes it look like I can't handle the weight, when that is not the case at all. But, I'm sure it will come in time. I am glad to see my bench getting stronger.

      I weighed this morning and I was showing to be up around 4lbs. Is it feasible that I have gained 4lbs of muscle in 7 weeks? I have been eating pretty good and working out the 5 days a week. I don't think I should be gaining fat back.

      Paused squats 150 x 2 x 5 (+5)
      Leg Press 408 x 1 x 20

      Wow, my legs got blasted today!! Today was the worst day by far when it comes to them being jello. My legs felt a bit weak after the squats and press. On my paused squats I added weight and really got low on them! So I think that really got them. It was a good day but a day that left me anxiously awaiting bed time!! My reps on everything else were a little easier. It's a good feeling though....especially when I do the last rep of my workout and I can leave...LOL!!

      The good news is my paused squat form is much better! I can feel the difference as I am knocking the reps out.

      Well, the last two das of my eating have not been up to par so I decided to really hit it in the gym today. It was a GOOD day!! I went up on every lift. I even went up 10lbs on 2 lifts that I haven't been able to increase since beginning to workout. They have been bothering me too because I haven't been able to go up at all....then BAM, 10lbs today. I feel a really good week coming!!

      Just a small update...I am about to start a more aggressive cut type diet tomorrow and run it until my vacation at least. Then I will go back to my original one. The new one is going to be a little more of a pain because I will have to make sure that I really measure everything and log it....and I don't get my cheat day, which is going to SUCK!! This one is more of a "getting ready for a competition" type plan. I want to see how lean I can get by the time we go to the beach.

      I dont like the idea of no cheat meal personally, I think its vital. Maybe just not quite as dirty as you cheat normally.

      Today was probably the weakest day in the gym I have had so far. I am almost positive that it was because my diet has been crap the last 3 days. I have seen first hand how not eating correctly can affect how I feel in the gym. I was pretty certain my weights were going up today but I just wasn't feeling it so I stuck with the same weights. I still got a good workout, but man did I feel weak! I won't let that happen again! All in all, it could have been worse though

      Unfortunately, there will be no update tomorrow. I was running in the back yard with my step son. All of the sudden I felt a "pop" in my hamstring and I hit the dirt in pain. I think I strained it or pulled it. Tomorrow is leg day, so that is out of the question.

      Any suggestions?

      I checked this morning. I weighed 178.6. I also have my wife doing a 9 site BF test for my BF now. It came out to be 15.72 this morning. I am going to start checking every Friday morning.
