      Hi all. I've read a lot of great journal entries on this site so I thought I'd contribute with my own to give newbies an idea of what kinds of gains you can expect with a cycle like the one I started today:

      Weeks 1-4: D-bol, 30mg ED
      Weeks 1-10: QV Test. Cyp 400mg

      I'm thinking of bumping the Test. to 500mg on weeks 5 and 6, however I'd rather see how I am progressing before I increase any dosages. Here is my current profile:

      165 lbs
      appx. 10% BF

      I'll post about any updates as the changes occur and some "before" pics ASAP.

      It's been almost a week since I started the D-bol now, but nothing too significant has happened. My endurance is up a little, but no ridiculous strength gains yet. What I have noticed, however, is that I feel relatively no soreness after my workouts.

      I've trained natural for almost 6 years now and have almost always been sore 2 days after training a muscle. However, since I started the d-bol, I feel almost nothing the next day. I feel as if I could train chest 2 days in a row, although I obviously wouldn't do that.

      My weight is up 3-4 pounds but is obviously only water. My muscles do look significantly larger, especially my chest and traps, which are quite swollen. Oh, and the pumps during the workouts have been pretty intense. I trained tris today and pushed them hard (like I usually do), but they felt like they were going to explode at the end of my workout.

      I'm into week 3 right now. Here are some notes that might be of interest:

      - I've gained between 5-10lbs up until this point. Sometimes I weigh 175lbs, sometmies 170, so I think I've gained at least a solid 5 lbs.

      - I started getting stomach pains in the kidney/liver area yesterday. Nothing serious, but I definitely felt something uncomfortable in that region and it was quite persistent. It went away after a few hours, so I'm not overly concerned.

      - The back pumps during my workouts have been pretty retarded. My strength and endurance are up, more notably my endurance. My bench is up 10lbs.

      - I finished my 3rd 400mg injection of Cyp. and I didn't feel a thing afterwards. I had absolutely no pains in that area in the following days, so either I got lucky or my ass is adapting to the injections, hopefully the latter =).

      - I used to wonder how the pro bodybuilders fit in all those meals. Now I know. My appetite has been absolutely ravenous. I can eat a fat meal to my face and then be starving 2 hours later. I wake up after 8 hours of sleep because my stomach feels like it is cannibalizing itself.

      I don't have pics yet, but they'll be posted sometime soon, I'm just waiting for a friend to develop them for me.

      Supposedly, the Test. should kick in really soon, so I'm excited =).

      Ok, so today was Day #28 and I did my 4th injection. I've had considerable strength gains again on my bench. Previously, if I was fresh, I'd be able to bench 185 for 6 clean reps. Today, at the end of my workout, I was able to bench 205 for 6 clean reps.

      I doubt the d-bol had much to do with these strength increases, so I'll assume the test is doing it's duty right now.

      Here are a few other notes:

      - For some reason, I've been getting huge clumps of snot in my nose since I started the d-bol, and quite a few nose bleeds. I've heard that this can happen, so I'm not worried.

      - My sex drive is pretty strong right now too, I get a woody when the wind blows. lol.

      - I played soccer today and found that I had explosive speed. I could accelerate a lot faster and shoot the ball harder. I was very impressed.

      Week 5 is now coming to a close. My weight is now fluctuating between 175-180, which is pretty kick-ass. I'm still doing the Test @ 400/week and I'm still gaining so I don't see a reason to up the dosage.

      Notes:

      - I stopped the D-bol a full week ahead of schedule. It was giving me nose bleeds and stomach pains so I said fuck it. I was already feeling the test so I don't feel it was necessary any longer.

      - The pumps are still pretty strong. I'm not sure how long they're supposed to last, but I'm not complaining. Even my abs are getting a sick pump.

      - I'm still getting stronger. As the weeks pass, if the weight I'm lifting isn't going up, the number of reps that I can perform is.

      - Sleeplessness is still an issue somewhat. This could be coincidence, but every time I've taken Nolvadex in the evening I've ended up with a restless sleep. 2 nights ago I went to bed at 1am and rolled around for 2 hours before I decided to get up, head to the gym, and train legs. lol.

      Week 6 is almost over. My strength is still going up, but my weight is still fluctuating between 175-180. I'm expecting to gain a few more pounds in the last 3 weeks, but nothing huge. I started this cycle at 165 lbs, so if I can finish at 180 I'll be very satisfied.

      Notes:

      - I was really careless on my last injection and someone found the syringe that wasn't supposed to. It was a pretty bad scene. I know I'm a dumb ass for this, but that's not going to stop me from reminding everyone to be very discreet about syringe/material disposal.

      Oh, and I've cut the Nolvadex to 20mg EOD. It was really starting to affect my sleep and I haven't seen any gyno symptoms since I stopped the Dianabol, so I don't see any reason to continue pumping myself full of this stuff until symptoms resurface.

      Hey it sounds like its going well, and u hvnt metioned many sides which is good. Its a good solid first cycle, and uve got ur PCT in order, not much else to say. Lets hope u gain another !5! solid pounds.

      Now if ur looking to get bigger, some things many ppl forget:

      Everytime u work a muscle, obviously u work something else AND/OR rest sometime as well. The next time u work that muscle, increase you WEIGHT and try to keep the same number of reps. EXAMPLE:

      Bench:
      275 - 4 sets - 5,5,4,3 (Lets say thats how my bench went today, Just for one excersize)

      The next time I train on bench: Suggested 2-4 days later
      Throw on 2 1/2's
      280 - 4 sets - 5,5,4,3



      Something like that. If u cant get the last few reps, get a spot and finish it out, then maybe increase every 2 workouts for that muscle.

      This will make a huge difference if ur possibly just increasing ur reps everytime. That will gain u strength/endurance. Increasing the weight and keeping the reps where they are at will increas Mass and strength

      Its not only gear, but ur whole overall plan as well, get that down to a science itself and it will be worth more than any cycle

      Before u know it ull be up to 300 for 4 sets of 5,5,4,3, or whatever ur bench May be Especially with a solid cycle like this one.

      Thanks for the reply. I don't doubt that I could bench 225 for 3-4 reps right now, but the best gains I've gotten on my chest have been from doing higher numbers of repetitions. I typically do 4 sets, and try to keep my reps to no less than 6. I usually aim for 12-10-8-6. I find that if I go really heavy (eg. in the 2-4 rep range), my form suffers and I'm not sore the next day. If my muscles aren't sore the next day, IMO, that's a good indication that I haven't targetted/exhausted them effectively during my previous workout.

      Perhaps it's time to switch it up and go for power. I'll give it a go and let you know how it feels .

      Ok, week 7 and 8 are drawing to close. I did a fitness assessment yesterday and my weight is at 178, 13% BF. I'm starting to do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach right now to lean out.

      The 7th injection went a little rough. Here's a link to a thread explaining what happened:

      My 8th injection went as smooth as butter. My weight is still holding, but hopefully there will be more gains to come =). PCT starts on July 11th. I have Clomid and Nolvadex on hand, but I'm considering picking up some HCG, although I've heard it's not necessary for a beginner's cycle. Also, I've heard that starting Clomid at 300mg might not be necessary for a cycle of this nature. Thoughts anyone?

      This approach has never worked for me, albeit that this is my first cycle. Previous to this cycle, I'd been training for 6 years with pretty impressive gains up until my 5th year. During that time span, I only lifted heavy every 3rd week or so. Perhaps that might not seem like the correct approach to you, but if I can gain naturally with said strategy, there's no reason why I can't gain while on AAS.

      In my opinion, sacrificing form for the sake of lifting really heavy weights is not the way to go. I'd much rather lift moderately heavy weights for 10 clean reps and really feel the muscle work. Lifting heavy once in a while to shock your body has worked well for me, but doing so continuously doesn't produce results for me at all.

      BTW, your claim that I should hit 200lbs on a 10 week cycle is rather extreme. I've never heard of anyone gaining 35 pounds from a cycle such as mine.
