      after a long thought out process and chat with my coach, i have decided to say enough with the someday/maybe mindset and am going to do a show. i joined the NPC and am going to do the Dexter Jackson Classic in July and assuming all goes well also the Lee Haney Games in November. Have 25 weeks to get in contest shape for the masters division in Florida. I'll start posting my food log and training log if anyone is interested in following along on the journey. Started doing my weekly check ins with my coach on my Youtube channel, Raging with Ryuu if anyone wants to check it out. Have a few interviews up as well with Lee Haney, Sharon Bruneau. Trying to get Lee Priest one scheduled too. He's a funny MFer to chat with. Like to do it again.
      Anyway, starting stats as of two weeks ago was 201 lbs, 23%bf so my coach is hoping to see me get as much mass as possible until maybe Mid to late Feb and then start dialing down and conditioning for the contest in July.
      Wish me luck and check out my channel to root me on or watch and hope i fail but views are views either way so tune in and hit the like and subscribe button. I do a weekly rant as well that can be pretty funny.

      we will be prepping over the same or at least similar time frame. i already started mine up to go as low and slow as possible since it is so much freaking harder not getting beat up being on the older side at 45. even going low and slow still beats the piss out of my body. i will be hitting nationals in july and then most likely north americans again in august this year. good luck and enjoy the process, it sucks ass at the time but the end is worth it. be careful too with what you have went through man, prep is a harsh period of time and is damn sure pushing the edge. i had all of my scans and shit done last year and everything came back perfect but it is still a risk.

      health wise all looks ok, after surgery last year, everything should be good to go. Going to be a ***** cutting and feeling deprived but i need to do it, sucks i waited til 55 to do a show but no guts no glory right?

      ty, basically been alternating between Dorian style old school failure training for 3 to 4 weeks followed by a week of multi set volume training with lighter weight for a switch before going back to HIIT. Diet has been the kick in the a$$. checked in with my coach after he said to tighten up the diet and gained a pound and bf went up a tad, was like wtf??? researched everything going in my mouth and saw the creamer i was using in my coffee i thought was low cal was a f'd up serving dize. i was going through a bottle a week and it said 63 servings on the label..... so what i thought was about 70 calories per coffee was actually almost 200 calories per coffee and i was doing about 4 of those a day. coach said dude.... i said all the coffee you want per day, not creamer, BLACK coffee. so this week should have better numbers for coach. down to 24 weeks til stage. really need to tighten everything up to bring it in right.
