remember what i said about the scale weight? you dont need to lose weight you want to pull off whatever amount of bodyfat that you are gunning for and keep as much muscle as possible. if you strip off both at the same time when you go back to eating somewhat normal your body will store even more fat than it had before. so if you can add a little more muscle on as you trim down the bodyfat it in turn will increase your metabolism and make your body perform more effectively. and you also are actually pretty freaking lean right now
Re: Trixie's 8th round KO challenge
Guns, you will probably be pounding this into my head for awhile. I am working on my train of thought along with my body but I am very conditioned to think scale. I do not know what my body fat % is. Rake says ask you guys on here because you can judge it by just looking. I am only 5'3" and have more muscle than I have ever had. I am happy with my progress so far but I feel that at my age I will have to get super lean to get rid of the problem areas then maybe build back on. I could be totally wrong about that but I am still very unhappy with the fat covering my lats. I'm staying on a diet and will still put my work in at the gym. Thank you so much for helping me, I feel honored.

This was a huge platter of food and I was so happy to be making it I was shaking. Last week I made this for Rake but I was eating only fish and chicken. Fabulous and my son was happy about the leftovers.

no problem at all. i enjoy helping people reach their goals when they arent trying to cut corners or looking for some quick magic fix. you already figured out the hard part which is diet and that's 95% of the process and training is secondary to your eating. not saying you can slack on training but the diet is by far the most important piece of the puzzle. now as for bodyfat and not actually seeing you in person, i would guess maybe in the 14-18% range. now keep in mind a healthy lady in good shape is 18-22% and you could be much lower than what i am guessing. the abs usually start popping out around 12% and lower so you are pretty close to there cause the ab wall is showing. now if you are dead set on the scale then hit it one time a week at the same time same day and that's it. i like to go off of measurements clothes and the mirror with women and dudes that are obsessed with losing to much or not enough. you could measure say your waist and hips once a wk or every other week to track progress without going nuts.

Re: Trixie's 8th round KO challenge
I think today was my best gym day ever! I love Chest & Shoulder day most because I feel like I'm buff. (That could all be a delusion. lol) Every exercise had just the perfect weight for failure on my last rep without worrying about my sensitive shoulder. Thanks to whoever posted the Reverse Pec Deck video earlier this week I used that information and it worked like a charm. An added bonus when I got home to find my son and his GF taking an online yoga class. Can today get any better? I think so because I'm going shopping for a new outfit.

Re: Trixie's 8th round KO challenge
First I need to thank MzDiva. I would never have stepped foot on this site if not for her encouragement. I was very leery to get involved in this contest after having a terrible experience about 18 months ago on another website. It was only after snapping those first photos and not recognizing who was in the picture that I made the decision to jump in. Seeing them made me realize that I had fallen victim and under complete control of the circumstances in my life.
First of all you need to know that my family has always been unbelievably close. I homeschooled all 3 of my children and we were all inseparable, so I thought. Three days before Christmas 2011 my daughter 23 years old at that time packed all her belongings and moved out of state to be with an obese guy we did not approve of for her. Six months later she married and I wasn’t even able to be at her wedding. During this time my eldest son 20 yrs. was away at college trying to help an undersized short stop teammate of his and ended up in serious trouble that has cost our family immeasurable grief, money and time in dealing with. All 3 of my guys were broken. ACL/MCL surgery for my youngest son. Labrum shoulder surgery for my college son and a completely ruptured Achilles for Rake that was accompanied by assault and battery charges. All this from Jan to May of 2012.I was starting my journey through menopause and had a complete case of the crazies and had no idea what was going on. I know this sounds like I may have gotten away unscathed but it is obvious that it took a toll on how I wasn’t taking care of myself. I would never have believed all this could happen to my family.
I will say our circumstances have been steadily improving over the last 8 months. My daughter had a baby girl at Thanksgiving and we are working on repairing our relationship. Both the surgeries went well and Rake healed his Achilles by himself, much to the dismay of his surgeon.
This contest came along right when I got the wake-up call that I was one of those people who spend 2 hours in the gym every day and make no progress or even fall further behind mostly because I couldn’t get my diet in shape. This is the first time in my life that I have been able to put such a balanced approach together: training, diet and support. Having Guns as my Master Trainer was absolutely vital in my success. He has continually taught and encouraged me. Once I found The Kitchen it was game on with F.I.S.T. as my Professional Chef I was on my way. The most important things I have learned are that I should not allow circumstances in my life to dictate who I am and how I take care of my health. I am in control of how I look and I will never run out of ways I can enhance my body and mind.
I hope you will all agree with me in this. I am already a winner as far as I’m concerned. When I look at the pictures I just took I am amazed this all took place in just 12 weeks. It will be a great honor if I am officially chosen the winner and I want everyone to know that it has taken every single person who ever visited my thread to help me achieve what I have and I’m sticking with it. After all; I am the girl who LIKES LIKES.

both of you guys look great and you are well on your way to hitting the level that you want to be. now throw the scale away and go shopping but dont get to crazy cause you will be needing new clothes again in a few weeks.
on a side note maybe i need to try some heels out to make my quad/ham line standout more. i wonder if they would allow it lol
