Tweetany pain through the groin area?
TweetI've had hip pain, especially in my right hip. Lately it has gotten sooo bad. Mostly in my right hip but occasionally in the left. Its not a muscle pain, feels in the joint or just lower (almost like a fracture type feeling). Has years of squats and deads caught up to me?
I hate docs and prefer to wait things out for the last possible moment! Think I'm going to have to get it checked out though.
Tweetlay off any stairs or any thing that the knee comes up to high on. Tight hip flexors( which most of us have) get even worse with that movement. Start with a hip xray and make sure they xray in frogleg position to. I could look at those and tell you if you have FAI like I did.. Before I had my hip surgery done, that was some intense pain.

TweetGet to the doc before it gets worse and ur missing work
Tweetman my hip flexors freaking kill sitting down for long periods. mainly my left side. i have to rumble roll the crap out of them to keep it healthy. funny thing is when i start prepping and doing cardio the left is good for about half way and then bam it gets angry and sucks

Tweetcould be but what docs label as bursitis can also be a different problem..
My advice 6p6, from experience with my hip, would be do nothing that bends the hipe flexors to much, stairs , sitting, even sleeping on your side in the fetal position. If you can refrain from that for a week and see if you feel better. Also if you're doing and squats or keg extensions...give it a break. If there is something going on in he hip joint such as a labral tear(that's what I had from a bump on the ball in the socket) or bad arthritis, it will usually cause referred groin pain. Also, if you decide to see a hip ortho in the future, I would recommend one who works with sports teams.

TweetI feel your pain wouldn't have been able to go much longer if I didn't have the surgery 5 years ago and it took 2 years to recover. It actually just started acting up again and I hope it isn't anything going on in your hip joints

TweetThere's a ton here in AZ so no shortage there. After still trying to get my knee back to par (ACL) I'm really dreading another issue!

TweetWell it could be all part of a primary issue, even the knee. An issue with a hip can turn into an issue down to the knee and for me it was to my foot . We tend to adjust our gait because o9f the pain without even realizing thus causing more issues. Sounds like you just want to get some pain lessened now so I would say take it easy on your lower half for awhile
