whenever i do cardio right after i get off the treadmill if i extend either of my calf muscles they cramp severely and also my inner thighs do the same thing. also whenever i do calves on leg day no matter how light or how much i warm up they always feel like i pulled them and they hurt like hell for a few days. i have no idea why this is going on but my calves are terrible looking and im getting fat because of it, in my first couple years of lifting i never had these problems. whats going on? and how can i fix this?

Thats interesting that this just started recently. If all things are equal,I would see if there is any connection to things you might be taking. thats one possiblity. Cramping is a weird thing and sometimes the cause is hard to figure out. Some people say its hydration, or electrolytes, or lack of flexibility, etc etc etc Often it is an old injury with scar tissue in the area that keeps the muscles from completely stretching and contracting without cramping. Then just the wrong movement will cause that muscle to bind up in a massive contraction that wont let go.
I say stretch your calves often thruout the day and stay hydrated. The more often you stretch, the better. Good luck.

Does sound like you need to hydrate ( h20). Could also be low potassium...Try eating a banana with with water. I run 5.5 miles a day and if i dont get enough hydration i'll cramp up in the same exact places. Inner thighs is bad!

that's a tough one. i would evaluate your supplement intake and no matter what the eval points to, increase your water intake. my calves and feet will cramp ofyem and without warning when my water intake isn't up to par. jmo but i know from personal experience that the cramps decrease with the increase in water intake. hope it helps bro
