So far so good at about 9 weeks since the injury and the surgeon said I had a window of 6 weeks since the injury for the best result from surgery. So I am past that. Tonight I was able to do 2 full range pullups and 20 half pushups. I have a long ways to go, but I am training my nervous system to rewire to the muscles that I still have left so they can do the work of the 3 muscles that are completely ruptured. I gotta go slow. Im only using 15 pounds for curls and stuff but I am doing it & it will keep getting stronger. The pain is 24/7 and I am not taking any pain meds whatsoever. I just rub shit on it when the pain gets crazy. The intensity of the pain is improving even though it never goes away, that is what tells me I am on the righ t track. It is slow progress but further along than I thought I would be. I am on a mission to prove that I can heal this without surgery.
Oh, Im hanging from a pullup bar about 20 or more times per day. Some of th e shoulder exercises Im only using 5 pound dumbells.
Im still waiting to get the shoulder rok in the mail. Hoping that will take my recovery to a new level.
No surgery, no pain pills and havent missed a day of work.
