for starters get some graston work done on the area the foot and calf. maybe have them hook you up with some kt taping along with it. one of those foot roller things like dzone mentioned in one of his posts could help when seated for an extended period of time.

sounds like you are pretty good when active and it is mostly aggervated by sitting. i would be willing to bet your knees in a bent position are causing it to tighten up on you. maybe stretching it out every so often and or stretching out your legs could help a little bit. you already know about tumeric and all the other anti inflammation supps to toss in to help. something else that just popped into my head would be to check your foot wear and inserts. that aggervates my feet ankles and achilles when mine start to wear out. just tossing out ideas
