TweetFeeling like shit how ? Weak, nauseated, dizzy?
TweetFeeling sick after the gym. Been going on for the last year. Somethings changed in me. My diet can be bulking, cutting, lax or super strict and in the end I feel like shit. I haven't been able to do pre work outs because they intensify it and bring it on faster. Post work out whey shakes i can barely stomach down. Lately I have to go straight home and lay down for 30-60 min then eat.
I'm sitting in the grocery store parking lot finishing a nutra grain bar and feeling a bit better. 15min post
Anyone else experience this? Any idea how to combat it? I try to eat 1 hour pre workout protein and carbs. I'm afraid it's some kind of insulin issue. I've about all given up on fasted cardio. Never experimented with insulin before. No hard family history. My dad is slightly diabetic but controls it with pills and 63. Am I just getting old or some shit? Need to keep hard candy and candy bars around? Tootsie rolls in my drink caddy?

TweetI'm same way and mine is usually because of two reasons acid indigestion especially from PWO, and because I train intense my rest between sets are very short usually. If I train slow and without a PWO I usually don't feel that way but I enjoy fast to medium pace for the most part but it does suck feeling that way
TweetHonestly bro I would go see a doc. I have experienced that before from many different things. Untreated acid indigestion, too much gear, and being sick without realizing it (had walking pneumonia for quoted awhile and didn't figure it out until I put a dumbbell on my chest and it burned and couldn't breath). But I never had it for a year. I would be safe and get checked out.
TweetJust had a physical a few months ago gtg other than high red blood cells I've been cruising at 250cyp. I live extremely rural. Anytime I go in they want to take my galblatter out. I've had a hidle hernia for years and it's never bothered my workouts before and I've been on oneprozole for acid for years.

TweetI feel like it's got something to do with my insulin. Seems like if I get some simple carbs in quick I feel better faster.

TweetWhat is your fasting Blood Sugar Level? Do you have Gallbladder issues?
TweetSee a doctor, honestly , being on anti acids for years many a time becomes counter productive. You take probiotics?

TweetNo idea on my levels. I was quoted as normal at my physical in June. I was experiencing these systems then too. Didn't keep the paper work.

TweetLife is hell if I forget to take them for 2 or more days. I haven't taken a pro biotic in more than a year. I'd try that to help get the system a little healthier.

Sounds like you just answered your question. My opinion is maybe focus on a good pist workout drink and Dutch the pre-workout for awhile. My fave was always a banana and whey shake

TweetWhat's a good post workout with simple carbs? I've always done whey with rolled oats

TweetIf you're feeling better as soon as you eat some simple carbs, maybe you're going hypoglycemic during your workout. I used to get the same feeling especially if I took a pre workout before training. Going hypo halfway through my workout combined with the pre workout I took had me feeling lighted headed, dizzy, nauseous and like I was going to literally fall out when i was finished. Once I consumed some simple carbs, I was good to go.
Maybe adjust the timing of your pre workout meal and/or what you're consuming prior to training. You could even try an intra workout drink that has some carbs in it to see if that helps.
TweetBest advice you can get right there
