Tweetmy pain from a similar wreck 17 years ago never healed just got managed im much better than i was but when the back neck or my knee act up wow it puts me on my butt for a day or two
TweetSo coming back from the beach I was in a car wreck. This is back in June. Walked away with no injuries luckily. Was doing 65 on highway when an old man just pulled out in front of me.
Anyways several weeks went by and I started getting neck and shoulder pain. Now I have a previous slight bulging disc in my neck and I have had bicep tendonitis before, however they have not flared up on me in a good long while.
Well it got so painful that I am now in physical therapy. It is helping but I got a feeling that the disc I aggrevated will need to rest and recover.
On the positive side the therapy I am doing is postural restoration and my lower back has seen some great improvement. FYI I have SI joint issues for years now.
Anyways just curious how long it takes a disc to heal or should I say pain to subside. I havent lifted much in 2-3 weeks now and next week plan on slowly getting back into it and continuing my therapy.
Also any supplements or drugs you guys recommend to heal quicker?
I plan on taking high dosages of Vit. D, magnesium, glucosamine, chondrotin, MSM, Vit. C, and fish oil.
When I originally injured my disc in my neck the doc said do some manual traction but the PT and my chiro hasnt mentioned that yet.
Any input is apprecaited. Truely sucks. Was doing really well in terms of results and actually was almost to my goal of bodyfat percentage for the year. Now all my strength and cosmetic gains are going bye bye. I have been mildly depressed and not eating well. Again plan on jumping back on the bandwagon next week in terms of nutrition and trying to exercises daily.
