Tweetit get's better. He just got back from driving from Mansfield OH to Cleveland OH and back to drop off his daughter (180 miles round trip) and went right to hospital in Mansfield. He called me from there, they took X-rays and can't find it!
He said also that what happened was, apparently there's a spring in syringe, when he pushed they plunger all the way it he heard a bing and said they spring broke and propelled the tip into his glute past the point of him even having an idea of exact spot!
Now they have a team of doctors trying to figure out how to locate it in his ass since it's not sowing up on x-ray!
I told him he should have went to a hospital in Cleveland not in poo-dunk, one-horse Mansfield! LOL
I'll keep everyone posted but sounds like a defective syringe. Wonder if he can sue BP for damanages or at least hosptal bill???
TweetA self retracting pin I had some once after the plunger is depressed the pin pulls back inside the syringe it scared the hell out of me first time I used it.
TweetWell, it's official, after 3 ER doctors, 2 x-ray techniians and a radialogist(?) conferred, they all decided since they couldn't find it wih an x-ray he has 2 options: 1) have a surgeon open him up and go fishing or 2) walk around with a 22 gauge 1 1/2" needle in his ass. He opted for the later! Poor bastard! Now he's afraid to inject again on that side. Told him just to try to stay about 1/2" away from where he thought it went in.
TweetSo is the needle in there or was it a safety det a table needle and it never went in in the first place? Let us know what happens.
TweetIt sounds like it was never in there to begin with. No way should be get surgery for that
TweetTell him to take a close look at the syringe if there is a spring in it the pin is retracted inside the casing it sounds
Like a self retracticL syringe I had so ting like it happen with one I was taking liquid a-dex when I was Newbie I heard pop and thought the pin was in my skull the doctor showed me it was retracted in the syringe that's is why it has a spring bro
Really tell him to look at it closer.
TweetSoooo does he have any pain at all? If not then this really sounds like its not in him, with it being metal that has to show up on an xray right?? I think it retracted into the syringe, which ive never even heard of that type of needle, and its not in him. Tell him to break apart that needle to see for sure..
TweetThey are rare because of the cost they were popular mid 90's to help stop pokes in hospitals by accident I will tell u they are scary. I got a box of 100 from a freind at the county health department I used one and never agin lol
TweetYea thats interesting. So when the plunger rubber piece gets to the bottom it hits the spring and then the needle retracts into itself?
TweetIf it's me, easy choice, I'm going to the hospital. Sucks but you may get a hot nurse.
"You don't know how strong you are until strong is your only option."
TweetYes sr bingo it's loud as hell and a quad shot sucks it pulls the pin back so fast
TweetI've used the exact same pins. It's what walgreens sells. Yes they completely retract. the first time I used one on my quad i depressed the plunger and BOOM the needle retracted out of my leg automatically. Freaked me out. You aren't supposed to press it that far down its supposed to be a safety feature for when you are done using it. Glad it's not stuck in the ass.
There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.
TweetYou mean break apart the syringe (shaft portion where liquid is drawn into before injecting) hicktown, don't you? The needle is, according to him, embedded in his ass. And he uses the same BP needles I do, non safety mechanism or retractable portion to it, just a simple, basic rig. It's just a straight pin with screw in 3cc shaft and plunger. I think I've seen the ones with the safety guard on them, this is not that kind of rig.
