how you doing/feeling dirt?
I went to the gym to train, I felt well but my energy is low. I did maybe 10 minutes and left. Not bad for sitting around for a month I think.
I do feel great and weened myself off all the meds but the blood thinner. The bets blocker was doing nothing for me at all.
Take it slow. You will get energy back soon enough
This is the letter I sent to Norton Hospital
Norton Hospital
At 200 E Chestnut sits an unassuming building. This building tells little of the magic that happens within while looking looking at the exterior. On 5 February 2015 I got admitted for a-fib and pneumonia due to a goiter that went hot. I got through a very efficient triage very quickly and went directly to ICU. The first thing I noticed about my room was the furnishings were eclectic but very functional.
While in ICU an RN took care of my fragile situation. She even coached me on how to breath when it was so hard to breath I was hoping my next breath would be my last. The RNs confidence helped to relax and to fight.
I met my General Care Manager Dr. Knighton she had the monumental task of organizing all the specialist to help me. Watching her work was beautiful indeed. It was like watching a Conductor of a multi-tiered symphony and she did tirelessly and flawlessly.
Food services prepared food for me that sometimes was not on the menu. My metabolism was in high gear because of my hot goiter and they made sure I had the energy to continue the fight of my life. The food was delicious as well.
The hospital was kept very clean as well.
My intention was not to leave anyone out of my thanks you . Nortons was ran like a well oiled machine by all staff and employees.
Sincerely
Joseph Durall
That's nice. Not many people take the time to do these things. Question with the goiter I would assume that your thyroid was hyper? Are the afibs still happening
The a-fib is under control. The meds are taking my energy especially the beta blocker. I go to the specialist saturday so maybe my meds will get changed
Glad youre better. I took some T3 once and it caused a fib. I never took it again.
My strength and endurance are down but muscle volume has not decreased at all. I can hardly wait to get to the gym regular.
My dr apts keep me from going to the gym atm. It seems like my labs are on point like this never happened.
They are every day and are in Louisville at the VA. That is about 56 miles from my house and rush hour at least 1 way.
that sucks dirt. i hope you are remembering to swing by the reimbursement window before you leave wink wink. also did you not get the card in the mail that you can go to the a local doctor if you are that far away from an actual clinic? i got mine about a month ago but cant remember what they called it
I do go to travel window. They used to pay in cash but now direct deposit. I have my aux insurance card from VA that you speak of. I have not used it yet but it is very cool to have it
I am going to have surgery to take out thyroid. I will not have to do stress test prior to surgery. The cardiologist says I am in great condition. He described me to my GF who was in the room he clenched both fist and made a motion like the hulk. Myself I didn't think I was this big, but maybe I am and just have a complex or something.
The date for surgery has not been set.
