Pharmacist told me to use within 28 days of opening. I looked at the pamphlet, the box, the bottle, searched the wed, and I have not found anything that backs up her instruction. Do you think the pharmacist I spoke to is correct??

no. it has to be used in 30 days if it is kept at room temp. it is what they do with all the pens nowadays since they dont go in the fridge. that said i would never let any slin get above room temp at any time. check the exp date on that bad boy and that's how long it is good for. which is a long ass time haha

Hell yeah I've always kept mine in the fridge at all times and used them until the expiration date. I've used the Novolin R before and liked it too. Basically just the generic version of Humulin R and much cheaper.

Insulin in the fridge is common sense. I have known that since i was like 10. Idk about the pens and keeping them at room temp. never used them but im sure its written in the pamphlet somewhere or hidden in a web search.

she is handing me the box of a multi use vial of slin from out of the pharmacy fridge. she thought i was smart enough to use slin and dumb enough to not keep it in the fridge. it was a totally unsolicited statement too that got me second guessing shit to the point i posted it here. Hope I get to see her again and put that condescending b!tch in her place with my slin brains.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, men.

Always keep in fridge, yes. I've used slin that was way past expiration and it still was good (I'm talking like 1.5 years). I think expiration dates on a lot of things aren't true, it's just something that has to be put on a product to make it pass regulations.

I have been told exp dates are arbitrary for the most part on almost everything. I concur to a point depending on what it is.
