I read it and loved it. I'm a huge thriller/horror fanatic though. He wrote a sequel to it called Doctor Sleep. Follows the kid after the events of The Shinning. Pretty good too.

you guys are missing out. if you are a king fan and like the movies you def have to check the books out. they leave a ton out from the books when they make his movies

It was pretty good. I didn't think it was as good as The Shinning, but definitely a page turner for me.
