Commercial aircraft are definitely not designed to fly upside down and could not sustain flight.
Airplane wings have a specific shape — curved on the top and relatively flat on the bottom. Air flowing over the curved top of the wing has to travel faster than the air flowing across the relatively flat bottom of the wing because it has farther to go. This difference creates a low-pressure area (vacuum) on top of the wing, and this is where the majority of our lift is generated.

Flip the airplane over, and the lift is destroyed.

Its a good movie, crazy how he landed that plane and then fighting not to go to jail lol. i liked the story line.

i rememeber seeing something about doing a roll in a huge jet plane and if my memory serves it right it is impossible the plane would literaly break apart into peices during the roll it would never make it around

just bought this the other day beofre i even watched it, great movie funny 2. denzel is my favorite actor he kill every role he gets the movie was slightly different then i thought it would be but it was still great with an ecven better actor!

flight hands down one of the best films of the tear..denzel washington is in his own category .amazing actor
