ever since the cuban missile crisis the general world consensus were nukes would destroy humanity, so beginning with kennedy, and every president since there has been talk and movement towards de-arming, baby steps have been taken, yet, general consensus of world leading countries has been we must finally do something

the outcome is a 4 year plan to gather up all enriched plutonium, 3 countries have turned over the stashs, and russia has agreed to shut down mfg

there are approximately 200 countries worldwide, and that 45 of the big ones attended and did something is a very good start

now, taking it a step further, most people do things in there own self-interest, IMHO, why the timing is right right now, is because with 6 billion people in the world almost all countries cannot afford military expansion or a military, countries like people want peace on earth, and since no one can afford wars anymore, financially and politically, we are most likely seeing a shift that will last two generations or 40-60 years to see how things work out in the long run

You are indeed an Obama supporter as I always suspected so it really doesn't matter what any of us discuss with you because your mind is already warped from a life filled with left wing propaganda. And I suppose you also support the President and his radical bill he just rushed through the house without any Republican support. You know which bill right? The financial reform bill that gives the president dictatorial powers to take over any business that he believes is at risk for failing.

I'm biased when it comes to the President because he is destroying our country. Thus, if you want to support Obama then fine, but you are either politically and economically ignorant or you simply don't like America and favor something more similar to the old Soviet Union or China.

Trip, I highly doubt if many people believe this was a good idea. He is trying to cut back on nukes at a time when our enemies are working hastily to make them. The fact that the President actually said he would never use nukes in to attack a country even if they used biological weapons on us was quite possibly the dumbest thing he has done and will put us at greater risk.

I can't even begin to start another debate right now about this pathetic president. If you indeed support the man, good for you, keep it up and perhaps one day your Marxist leader will succeed in destroying everything good that America stands for and then maybe you will be happy with the rest of his radical anti-American supporters. To support Obama is to support Communism, Marxism, Despotism, Socialism, and anything else that does not support America.
