Thanks trip...yes, dave is right, you are a good counselor...It bugs me cuz all her stories are about someone in her family and she doesnt stop...often times keeping people waiting because she has a long protracted, ad infinitum, story to tell...%$#@

help her

compliment her alot on her talking strengths, good story telling, can talk about anything, not afraid too talk etc.

all good

while doing that help her focus on not interupting folks, u can do that in two ways, slow and steady or interrupt her a hundred times, if u take this track use one phrase repeatedlly like

"rude"
"i guess what i have too say is not important"

etc.

pick one you think will do the trick for change yet not make her feel horrible or too painfull

this is a behavior modification technique, should take 3 days, 3 weeks, or 3 months

trust me though, it works 80% of time if she is a good person

trips advice to me, in the past, has always been spot on...he's good. i'd still go with the "shut the f#@k up" thing, but this could work too i guess

i have a hard time with those people too...i have a pretty positive attidude and a knack for making people laff, so i can throw some pretty rude stuff at them, shut them the fuk up, then make them laff and go away happy!
i usually say either (while rolling my hand along) "get to the punchline already, your losing the crow'd" or "hey!, how about you just tell me what time it is, instead of telling me how to build a dam watch!"...both work pretty well
