In 2014 the USPA launched its Coach Certification Program that includes, in addition to a hands-on seminar format, educational and testing materials created by the National Academy of Strength and Power (NASPOWER). Lord Elliott, USPA Director of Coaches Certification, and Tom DeLong, USPA Director of Education, developed the NASPOWER Education System and it was recently approved for Continuing Education Units or CEU’s by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Earlier this year it was also approved for CEU’s by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). In effect, this means that all students attending the USPA Coach Certification Course will receive both NASM and NSCA credits through NASPOWER.More...
