i completely disagree with heavy weight training for arm training. arms are very small muscles that are already trained pretty heavy with back and pressing. so i am more of a drive as much blood into them as possible when training them directly. i honestly think heavy is a relative term to each individual but most people move weight and dont actually train the muscle. this is the reason i believe that most people have tendon and joint pain and their arms really arent that good. that and they are some that cant recover from just normal training and then throwing more training on top of what they arent recovering from is counter productive.
