Alright, hopefully this will go better now that the riff-raff has been weeded out.

Was watching the news last night and it appears Bush is comming under fire cause everyone is realizing that this isn't going to be no 3 day war.

Rumsfeld (sp?) said that they Iraqi soldiers are using "Unconventional Tactics" in their warfare. I believe that's the official reason.

My question: What the heck are these unconventional tactics? The only think that I've heard about in the fighting that was unconventional was the burning trenches of oil used as a smoke screen. But Saddam also did this during the gulf war so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Do you guys know what these unconventional tactics are? Think it's just an excuse for a mistake on the planning/predicting side of things?

I only heard that the iraqi's are dressing up as civilians... also a couple times a group would approach US troops apparently surrending... then some of there buddies would ambush the US troops. Kind of ***** IMO. But I think this is what he means by unconventional

Ah yes, apparently this is how those POW's were captured?

Do you think this is the reason why the war isn't going as quickly as planned, or an excuse?

I think it's unconventional, but can't see how it effects the war progress. The first thing these soldiers should do is disarm the civilians.

Well, a reporter also used that excuse. Then gave examples such as "Soldiers digging in under bridges, between hwy meridians, etc" Just examples of Iraqi soldiers digging in. I'm sure they're doing it, but that's exactly what I'd expect them to do. I mean, what does he expect.. them to all line up and run at the US soldiers? Plus it's a reporter so it's hardly an expert opinion or anything like that.

In general they are just using civilians as shields
Some of their soldiers are setting up their defences on top of and inside hospitals.

I think the war is probably going as well as expected by the generals, but Cheney and his military expertise is another story.

I thought you were against name calling? TheDeacon was a good bro, he just acted with his emotions instead of his brain. The guy was emotional and he lost it while supporting his country and said some stupid things, but he is a good bro overall.

GG-> Please quit with the war threads, nobody wants to hear it nor talk about it. You are very manipulative in your ways and the way your phrase your words. You start these threads in a suddle way knowing that people may lose their cool. You also have a non-obvious suddle way of bashing the USA & the Bush administration. You started the thread that got theDeacon banned. Please stop & talk about something else or the mods will notice that you are the one starting all the shit.

Just leave me alone. Seriously. He attacked other members and mods as well, and he wasn't protecting his country at that point.

If you don't like war threads, stay out of them. This one was going great.

I have nothing else to say about the war. There was a 52-9 vote on the poll and that should be the end of it. I will not let you manipulate the board and make us supporters look like the bad guys. You are the one starting the threads, just do a search and see for youself if you have forgotten.

TheDeacon did attack other members but his emotions were already fired up, and I agree he should have been banned for attacking BigJim & the other members. I tried to talk civil to you about your new laptop and about other topics, but you keep talking about the war.

There is a cause & effect for everything, your threads and manipulation was the cause for theDeacon to get emotional, lose his cool & get banned. I hope nobody else, including myself doesn't fall into this same trap.

      Lol.. alright..

Unfounded accusations carry no weight. Show me how I'm purposly manipulating people and I'll apologize. Give examples and state exactly what I'm doing.

Otherwise I'd like an apology from yourself.
