Tweetto make people around me happy
TweetLike a feeling of satisfaction when you accomplish something or just hanging out on a nice day watching the clouds go by. I've been a little down lately and want to starting looking at things that will make me feel better. I get a big kick out of my son - he's a great kid. I also do a lot of work on my house, carpentry, electrical, plumbing - you name it. Love being able to say I did this and that.

TweetPudgy - good answer. I try and do that every day. The way I feel right now - it isn't easy but I don't want to be a miserable bastard right now. To easy to fall into that.

TweetMoney!
TweetIsolationism makes me happy - in whatever form it presents itself to me.
Money also makes me comfortable, and secure feeling.
Also my dog makes me happy. I guess my daughter too.
TweetI had two - both gone now. I agree, something about the way they are, that you are their entire world and they don't need anything else but your company. They are wonderful companions.

TweetMorgan, I know how you feel brutha. I have been depressed since I got laidoff in Jan. Lat year I got a divorce, my career plans are not going the way I had planned. I'm going to turn 32 next month.
Just remember, someone else is always worse off than you are.
Hope that cheers u up.

TweetDam straight. I'm not going to give in just yet. I'm so grateful that I have what I have. That's why I wanted to look for some more postive stuff around me.

TweetI know what you all mean. I read a lot of posts here and I can honestly say that I have much to be thankful for. god smacked - I know how you feel right now. I've been down the unemployed road and the crappy career path too. I can tell you to hang in there, it took me a couple of years to get going. I was about your age when it happened. It's real hard but usaully when you least expect it, things start looking real good again. Saturn - you are so right. I had a 250# Newfoundland male and a 70# Red Dobie female. Craziest pair playing together you've ever seen.

TweetSo get a dog already!. I got the doberman from an animal shelter. The Newfoundland from a breeder. Either way look into it. I will admit it's like having a child and they are a lot of work.

TweetYou're right. They need a lot of attention. Wait until you have the proper place to keep it.

TweetSaturn - mine knocked over a 8' high wall unit one day chasing each other around the house. Most of it disintergrated on impact.
Thought about bringing them both to the shelter after that.

TweetHad an Alaskan Malamute prior to these two. Yep - real high energy - I think most "working" breeds are.

Drinking beer and being a big mofo. :2gunsfiri
TweetDid I forget to mention that I had to give my 2 cats to my ex because the place I live doesn't allow them!? Now I was never a cat person but my wife at the time had to have them, now I am attached to them but they can't live with me. I can't move to another place because I need to live here for my possible career.
Also, I used to watch 2 boys, they are brothers, both in wheelchairs from birth defects. Talk about perspective, these guys can't even goto the bathroom by themselves let alone wipe there own ass or feed themselves. Everytime I see them they are happier than shit, so what have I got to complain about!!!?!??!??!!!!
