So because we have a wind-chill near 15degrees. It's blowin from the northwest 20-30mph. The schoolboard issued a "selective school day".

My daughter had perfect attendance until last week when she had a sore throat for a min., but it didn't last more than a day with no fever.

I don't want her to think of school as 'selective' in the least. Mandatory, unless too ill to go. But, after the weekend she had with that stomach bug, and everyone and their mother having that crap, I 'selected' to not send her today. Not so much because of the excused cold weather absence, but I'm concerned about little snotty nose kindergarteners being sent to school with that bug. And while my girl's immune system might be weak from this weekend, she's vulnerable to anything.

Do you agree with my decision?
