LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors have charged rapper T.I.'s wife with one count of misdemeanor drug possession stemming from an arrest last month on the Sunset Strip.
Prosecutors charged Tameka Cottle with possession of ecstasy on Friday and she is due in court for an arraignment on Nov. 1 in Beverly Hills. The 35-year-old was arrested along with her husband on Sept. 1 during a traffic stop.
Prosecutors on Monday declined to charge T.I., citing a federal judge's decision to send him to federal prison for 11 months for violating his probation on weapons charges and the small amount of drugs found on him. A charge evaluation sheet said deputies found four ecstasy pills on the Grammy Award winner.
It was not immediately clear whether Cottle had an attorney

TweetMaybe they're attempting to end the "war" over there in L.A., where the drug war is nothing short of a war. I know that the underground weed trade is no more. No more need for the Mexican drug lords to pedal pot through Cali. They took the violence out of that one aspect of that war. Actually eliminated the war, and any need for a war on weed being the status of it now. The people of Cali don't have to deal with gangs or shady parts of the hood for a bag of weed anymore. Therefor, weed is no longer the lucrative, or appealing business for gangs/thugs whatever. Hell, they can go get quality product themselves without the previous concerns. One drug, and tiny aspect, where bullets need not be exchanged in the streets anymore. At least, out there.
