My Gawd. Leave the guy alone. The feds are obsessed with destroying the legacy of Lance Armstrong...Extending the statute of limitations so they can go farther back so they can nail him with something. WTF is up with this? Since when is this the business of the federal government? Frightening when you think about it. Lance Armstrong is a huge National Hero to millions of people. What good is there in totally destroying him?????They certainly seem bent on doing just that. Police state run amuck.

Re: Why does the Federal Govt Hate Lance Armstrong?
Big brother has his hands in everything. You see why I am leaning toward anarcho-capitalism as the only viable means to have liberties. The government will keep growing bigger and bigger until they have their hands in absolutely everything that goes on. Our freedoms are diminishing rapidly before our very eyes. The elitists that run our country think everything should be up to them to decide, even where a football team will play a bowl game, and whether Lance Armstrong deserves to be stripped of his medals.Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington

And why does the postal service have a cycling team. The USPS is the opposite of a fast efficient team.

Funny about the post office, I didn't know they had a cycling team. It sounds like their cycling team is about as bad as their mail service. By the way, I don't use USPS unless I have a package there that needs picked up. I only deal with UPS and Fed Ex. I'm a supporter of the private market, thus avoid government services when possible. I also refuse to buy GM and Chrysler products, sticking to the almighty Ford that has not been bailed out by the government.

Lol, I have been looking at land too. At present I have only been looking in remote areas here in the U.S., but have considered moving abroad one day in the future if things get too bad here. In that case I would try to find a remote island with a small population, which would not provide much incentive for a government to become radical.
On a positive note, I read a great article the other day that does a good job of explaining how the totalitarian attempt will fail just like almost every other one in history has. Give it a read, I think you'll enjoy it. The author, Gary North, is a Libertarian of the Austrian Economics school of thought.
Recently by Gary North: Two Years of Gridlock I am perceived by many readers as a pessimist. I am not a pessimist. I am an optimist beyond your wildest imagination. I am an eschatological postmillennialist. There are not many of us. I am also a believer in the free market social order — not just in its superiority in theory, but in its inevitable triumph in history. I believe that Leonard E. Read’s book title is correct: Then Truth Will Out. I am not an optimist with respect to the pathway between here and there. Big Brother lurks in the … Continue reading →Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington

It's sick. The man is a legend in his own time. Set the bar to heights that might not be touched for a long while. Riders that Armstrong ran away from were indeed tested positive for juice. If memory serves me correct, a few of the guys following Lance tested positive, but they wanna taint his legacy. The American gets the microscope, poke n prod...they've already tainted his career. Imagine it from his view-point.
