TweetGOOD DEAL JIPPED! RIDING UNCOMFORTABLE ISNT FUN...AT LEAST YOU HAVE ONE NOW THAT YOU CAN ENJOY!
TweetI dreaded riding it. my neckand back were just ruined after 15-20 minutes and i just couldnt enjoy it. I would hurt for 2 days for 20 minutes of riding
i went to buy the handlebar risers at the yamaha dealer and the parts man was out. a salesman threw me the keys to a FZ6R i was eyeballing so i took it for a ride.
so comfortable. it lacks the power and razor sharp handling and braking of the R6 but dammit i was happy and comfortable.
i traded straight up with no $$$ out of pocket. I looked at the blue book and trade in value of my bike was $500 less than the FZ but retail was slightly more. i ended up getting the same color as the R6 and the bike is brand spanking new with 2 miles on it.
a full on sport bike wasnt for me. but this bike will indeed go, and handles great with so much less effort. mistakes are not magnified and i am so relaxed on it.
so here is a pic

TweetA friend of mine had that exact bike in for 2008. The FZR-650. Same color and all.
It looks good without the any decals to mess up te black. I dig the straight black.
Now that bike. You should be able to play on a good bit, and get goood at it. Then get a CBR-600 F2. They are strue supersports, but the many stunters choice because of the more upright, and comfy riding position. You'll can walk those FZRs alot easier than an R6. My R6 is no stunter. It's strictly a track bike. And I like to walk wheelies. Who doesn't? They're fun as hell. I like to roll out a stoppy too, but I kid you not. That is even more difficult on an R6. I don't understand why, but those bikes are just extremely rigid, and designed for 1 thing. Which is cool. I just enjoyed walking it out now and then.
Sweet bike. Sounds like you're content, and that's what matters most. Now, your 1st track day...you might be trading back by about the 3rd lap. Loading that FZR up and haulin ass for the track model again. nah, jk. You got what you're more comfy on. And, after a while, you'll probably be having a blast on that FZR. Just because of the riding position, it'll hit an much easier balance point. But I owuldn't rush that. It'll just come. You'll feel it when you;re ready to ride out on the back tire. Then describe that feeling once ou've reached the balance point and can go for as long as you want.
I shoulda got film of this dide on his new R1 yesterday. He was showing-off, as my wife said. But he was well capable. I had a fun just watching him. We followed him for about 5 miles on a 4-lane that goes from the beachside of town to the town side. He was walkin little sit downs for abotu 100yrds. He wasn't that great at wheelies, cause he was just useing that liter-bike torque to keep the front up. He threw down a little stoppy, but got the back up pretty high. He still hadn't founf the balance points, but that's very difficult on Yamaha's sportbikes, as it's passed 1:00. Way back there. and very small too. Dangerous.
It's always fun to just ride. yeeah...I'll just stand by that statement for a minute. Is that minute up yet?
For real. Be safe! That thing'll bite just as bad.
TweetYou shoulda tried the R6S. It's much less aggressive than the R6. It's actually the '03-'05 R6. They just ept it in production for folks with your exact preferences. damn...I wish I would've mentioned that to ya a few days ago. I'm surprised the salesman didn't put you own one.
TweetR6S or CBR 600F2 are both great sportbikes for those out for a less aggressive ride in a SS.
Tweeti am happy with it guys. half of the guys told me hang on to the r6, i will get used to it and the other half said i wouldnt.
i will use it for commuting and some rides with friends. it will never see a track and i am fine with it having less HP and weigh more.
TweetFOR WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT FOR...YOU HAVE THE PERFECT BIKE FOR YOU JIPPED! AS WITH ANY BIKE THOUGH, SEAT TIME IS A MUST. ESPECIALLY FOR COMMUTING. YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW THAT BIKE REACTS TO SUDDEN STOPS, ITS POWER, STEERING, ETC.
IM HAPPY FOR YOU MAN!
