your right, but it aint going away....what amazes me is WHAT people say on the internet....they say shyt they'd never so face to face.
TweetThis whole internet phenomenon. People don't keep anything private anymore. I see people describing their entire day and life for the whole world to see on facebook. They aren't the least bit careful about it. With some women, you have to consider the fact that if you go out on a date with her, she will most likely talk about it the next day on facebook or twitter...LOL...We would freak out if we were to ever know just how much we are being watched by people in other countries and here. This chick I know got scammed by a guy in Nigeria who sent her pictures of her best friends. How did he even know who her friends were??? Ive heard that there are places in Nigeria with a room full of Nigerian dudes monitoring AMERICANS and trying to scam them out of $$$$... We could be watched 24/7 by someone, somewhere. Reading your emails, watching you via satellite. It could be someone in Nigeria, China or India.
It's creepy.

TweetI saw a thing on those rooms of Nigerians that try running those scams thousands of times a day. It was a little room the size of a small apartment room. The computers were run down Commodor 64s.lol...I think there literally might have been some of those. The dudes were poor 3rd world dudes that definitely had no immediate access to satelites other than Google Satellite. They do watch what lonely women do on dating sites, facebook, whatever. Then befriend 'em, and hit 'em up. 1 out of so many is a hit and they make about 3yrs salary off one naive person that falls for the scam. A yr's salary for them is a good average weeks salary here.
It does suck. The age of the world-wide-web. We're gonna always have a little "grumpy ole man" view of it because it hit in the late mid/late 90s. Allot of folks aren't savvy worth shit on the net because of that newness. The next generation won't be nearly as naive to allot of the scams that have taken folks over the first decade.
The web's an amazing thing when ya think about it. It has it's huge pros and huge cons. ha "cons"...and nothing's sacred to many folks on the web, as you said.
TweetI have literally seen chicks post on myspace and facebook "I'm lonely tonight. Is anyone out there who wants to take me out?" hahaha...lordy!
The internet is such a blessing and a curse. But I wouldnt trade it for the old days. I love the instant access to information. It has put me in touch with so many people from the old days that I would never see without the web. Loads of high school friends. It has changed the world as much or more than the invention of the automobile. Its like science fiction.
TweetDude its already happening and its called echellon
three doodoo is back! Hide your women!

i hear that one often, putting in touch with old friends, and it just goes to show you different strokes for different folks, for the most part i've staid in touch with all folks who i think are important my whole life, yeah, i'm the guy who makes the phone calls, puts in the effort to keep in touch, so when people say this, i think, ehhhhhh, nothings changed except easier and faster, instead of the yellow pages you got google, instead of a dozen phone calls to track down someone you got facebook or whatever, instead of the library you got google search again, easier and faster
Tweetah come on trip. The net has given us more than a quick Google search.lol...
It's put people together from one side of the globe to the other that likley would never have met.
Then ya have the scammers.lol...
Tweetyea...all those fine nigerian folks!!!

TweetHAHA! Good, been really busy with school. I got my AA degree this past December and now go to USF. I'm getting a double major BA in Philosophy and Criminology. Then I'm hoping to go to law school. It's been a tough road. Some semesters I was doing 18 credit hours to rush through. I did the AA in a year and a half, so I've had very little free time.
I've got a son that's 3 now, and another one on the way in July. Life is good...especially since I learned not to get into political debates anymore HAHA!
How's life treating you bro.
Sorry to jack your thread op.
TweetI lost a lot of weight because of school though. I'm trying to figure out what I did before to gain my weight...which brought me back here
TweetCongrats on that Bro. Good to seeya around again.
TweetThanks bud. Now that I learned to control myself with staying away from politics I think I'll be around more.
