My new blog

TweetFirst off, thank you Fuzo for permitting me to post my new blog web address on here as an invite to fellow members of FG.

I finally got my blog up a few weeks ago and have been adding posts to it as topics of interest come to mind. I will also be publishing my site, which the blog is linked to, in the near future. I have been in a bit of a rut on finishing the website due to some design changes.

I hope that some of you are interested in visiting it and posting your thoughts on the issues at hand. Please keep in mind that it is new, but it will grow with time and participation. Also, the design of the blog will change eventually but for now the important thing was making it active.

i'm at a point where i might be close to understanding it more

Basically if I'm getting it correctly those who are against the Fed, essentially believe you really cannot have true Freedom in a Fiat money system because in essence it is always 100% controlled by the Federal thru the term of money.

If this is true what type of government do we really have, some form of a combination of communisn, socialism, capitalism.

Communish because true control is in the feds hands not the individauls, ie, they can devalue whatever you own in a moment.

Socialism, well, the power of special interests over the individual.

Capitilism, well, you still get the choice to put your time effort and energy in whatever endevor you want too acquire wealth, yet, don't forget we can devaulue it in a second.

Basically if I'm getting it correctly those who are against the Fed, essentially believe you really cannot have true Freedom in a Fiat money system because in essence it is always 100% controlled by the Federal thru the term of money.

Well as you know the FED isn't even really "federal". The FED is not a government institution but rather a group of privately owned banks....there is nothing "federal" or "government" about them yet they have unchecked powers and control our economy.

The FEDs role in our economy....

The Fed regulates financial institutions, manages the nation's money and influences the economy. By raising and lowering interest rates, creating money and using a few other tricks, the Fed can either stimulate or slow down the economy. This manipulation helps maintain low inflation, high employment rates, and manufacturing output.

When they can print money out of thin air, bail out companies, make loans to other countries, and numerous other things behind the American people's back that is a problem. This is our currency, our economy, and our life yet we are manipulated by a group of private banks that don't answer to anyone and we nor Congress can't yet do anything to direct our own economy.

This is also why we have so many bubble and bust cycles in our economy....the FED is manipulating credit lines as they see fit.

You are getting the basic understanding but for a more in depth one check out this video, it is the best I have seen on the issue with the exception of some good documentaries that cover it too. Watch all 5 parts if you have the time.



Realize one important fact however, and that is that the Federal Reserve is no more Federal than Federal Express. It is banks that own the Fed and they created a cartel with the support of the Federal Government. Otherwise, this would be illegal. Is is actually Fractional Reserve banking according to Economics. The best lessons about the Fed can be learned by reading a text book of Austrian Economics, and a good site for that is www.truthandliberty.com under the Economics tab. Also, mises.org has a wealth of information as it is the official Austrian School of Economics.

I will write a blog post on this in more depth and place it under Economics tomorrow if I have time.

Thanks Stout1 I appreciate the positive feedback. It is fairly new so I still need to do some work as far as the design goes and will be adding more content as often as I can think of things to discuss. Economics and the Federal Reserve is next as it looks to be a hot topic.

TweetI know the difference between kenesian and austrian econmic theory, i know what fractional reserve banking is, I know when the first central bank cam into existence and why and what date, and the dates of other countries adoption.

The Goal is understanding both sides.

I've read half a dozen books on booms and busts, the great depression, the tulip and south sea mania's and John Cooke's story, and I've read all of the quotes.
