when i was a kid and brought home a bad report card i got my ass whooped.

perhaps instead of blaming the schools and the teaching staff blame the parents who want somone else to make sure their children are taught instead of taking a proactive roll in their "edjamacation" themselves

point the finger at the lazy ass parents, but "OH NO!!! you diunt!!!!" its not my job to teach my kid!!!

Makes it tight financially to live in the outskirts of the city, but it pays dividends when I go to PTC and hear that my 5th gr son is doing 8th gr math. It comes down to what the parents are willing to do and is not totally the fault of the school system, though.

thats what we call "concurance" i think i made that word up but it makes me sound smart. i am one of those kids with the poor scores but instead of detroit its ATL

thats an awsome feeling!! and one you wouldnt have had in detroit!!! and i dont really blame the schools 100%...they have their problems for sure, but parents need too step it up
