TweetWhat was the chain, or at least the catch phrase? Sounds cool man, keep us posted how it all works out for ya!
TweetThis has been a day I have been working toward for a long time. I am so hoping it gives me a door into doing more work in that biz.. Some Tv producer dude heard me talking one day and asked me if I would be interested in using my voice in TV commercials. So I got hired to do a voice over for a commercial for a grocery store chain. We taped it today at the tv station. They put me in a sound proof booth with headphones and a microphone hanging down and had me read a script about 20 times in several different ways. The catch phrase they had me repeat several more times. It was really fun to do. The pay was very small, but it is a foot in the door and I can get some demo CDs from this to send out. If it can become profitable, I will be so grateful.
Honestly, I do think that working out and keeping natural test levels high is a part of it. I know my voice wasnt always this deep, but as Ive gotten older, my voice keeps getting deeper and deeper..lol...I seriously wonder if maybe my vocal chord muscles have gotten thicker. Im sure they have. Does anyone know what I mean?
So anyway, afterward this guy came over and asked if I had done this work before, I said no and I asked him if he thinks he could use me for more work, He said "oh, Definitely"...They were very happy with it and said my voice was exactly what they were looking for. This chain covers several states, but this is just for this state. So, if it goes well, I hope to get the other parts of the country. So am keeping my fingers crossed for something good. This past year has been hard to endure at times so something like this is a gift. anyway, just thought Id share that with yall

TweetThat's awesome Dzone! That would be a cool job to have permanent gigs doing. Like that guy that does the movie voice - can you imagine that being your job. Hope it goes well for you bro.
TweetExcellent~!!! Thats a great opportunity for you!!!
Yes steroids do cause your vocal chords to hypertrophy just like your muscles, they also cause nodules on your vocal chords.

Tweetthat's great, i am sure it was your winning personality and ability to understand all directions that helped, a friend of mine has been doing it almost 30 years, the hours are atrocious, about ten a week, lol
