TweetWhy can't I send a scanned file?!!! What in the hell is the problem?
I bought a new HP printer/scanner/copier/nose-picker/etc...It saves scanned docs as .tif files. Those wouldn't send via Outlook Express. Then I saved then as .jpegs, and it did better. The status bar appeared, and was making status at least, but it timed out. Now I'm breaking each page up and trying it this way. and it's still taking forever for the 1st page. wtf???!!! and why in the hell can't people accept faxes??!!! I mean damn!! "just scann each page and email it." wtf man! let's make it difficult and do it that way. ughgh...but a jpeg is a jpeg, so why is it taking 10 forevers?

Tweet.TIF IMAGES ARE ABOUT 5 TIMES THE SIZE AS A JPG
THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM

Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!

TweetEaxctly what I figured the problem was as well 02. tif files are huge. Then the jpegs did the same thing. They finally sent 1 page at a time. They were 213 megs in tif, and not quite 9 megs in jpeg.
The Winzip thing is what else gets me. The average response from someone when you tell them you'll just zip the files; "I don't have Winzip on this computer." as this guy. All ya gotta do is download the trial and you have Winzip. for free! voila!..
Thank you guys much for the input!
TweetOnce you scan the file and save it, open the photo in your "paint" program. Yes, paint. Go down to start, up to accessories, then to paint.
Post the photo in Paint, and use "Image", then "Stretch and Skew". Shrink it down to whatever you want, save it s a Jpeg file. Boom, problem solved!
