TweetOkay, here's my question about this. and don't say i'm racist either cuz my younger brother is 1/2 spanish. i'm just saying why is it a spanish person can make the sound of the letter "Y" as in "don't ask me to do it it's not my yob mang". But the same person cannot say the "Y" sound but it comes out as "J" as in "my favorite baseball team is de New Jork Jankees mang." why is that?

You mean to say the letter Y is pronounced like J in Spanish...Yolanda sounds like Jolanda. J is pronounced as a H in Spanish. Jesus sounds like Hay- soos.
