According to a new study, the performance enhancing drug, human growth hormone (HGH) may not actually improve athletic performance at all.
Researchers have discovered that HGH does not actually improve on athletic performance. It does, however, build lean body mass, or muscle.
Researchers lookd at 44 existing articles from 27 different studies which included people aged 13 to 45.
All of these were random, controlled trials.
On average, taking HGH resulted in an increase in lean body mass of 2 kilograms.
The results of the review of the studies found that HGH may actually cause problems with athletic performance.
The study was carried out at Stanford University. Side effects from HGH were found to be swelling and fatigue.
It does not, however, improve strength, or the ability to do exericse.

Tweetat a low dose, I would tend to side partially on their finding. but doesn't mulding 2 kilos of muscle help your athletic performance? seems to me that it does at least in most sports. Not sure I really understand the swelling finding?
Tweeti think they are 100% correct in their study. i also believed, based on this new info, that hgh is nomore harmful than a couple scoops of creatine and should be sold over the counter, right next to celltech!!!
